New Linkin Park song "Not Alone"!

Music For Relief has just released a compilation of new and unreleased music entitled "Download to Donate", to help raise money for Haiti. The free compilation includes brand new and unreleased music from Hoobastank, Kenna, Dave Matthews Band, and most importantly, Linkin Park! The brand new Linkin Park song is called "Not Alone".

Update: You can now also download the new Lupe Fiasco song "Resurrection", featuring Kenna and produced by Mike Shinoda.

Recently, Linkin Park announced that they will launching a game for the iPod and iPhone! Included with the game will be a brand new Linkin Park song!

On his blog, Mike wrote:

Many years ago, the world existed in 8-bit harmony...until PixxelKorp arrived. Now, underground forces are assembling to undo the evil corporation's mass-brainwashing campaign. You may be our only hope to lead the rebellion to victory!

The new Linkin Park game is on the way. I just got a new test-build of the game, and it's looking great. As you would expect, my bandmates and I worked hand-in-hand with the design team to create the look and content of the game. For fans of my art: you'll see some new and familiar characters come to life in this 8-bit-meets-hi-res virtual world.

In the game, you have been chosen by the rebellion to solve a mystery. Items have been stolen from the six leaders of the rebellion. Collecting these items is the rebellion's only hope to thwarting the plans of the evil PixxelKorp.

I can't give away too many details about the game just yet, but I can tell you this: for all the Linkin Park fans excited to hear new music, I have some big news for you: if you finish this game, you get more than just a credit screen.

You get a brand new Linkin Park song.

The game will be available on the iPhone and iPod touch soon. More to come

Linkin Park Nominated for Grammy

Linkin Park has been nominated the Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance for "What I've Done" off of Road To Revolution: Live At Milton Keynes DVD.

Mike Shinoda's Glorious Excess (Dies)

Following up his highly successful Glorious Excess (Born) art show, today Mike Shinoda announced the follow-up show, entitled Glorious Excess (Dies). The show "is the next chapter in his series exploring society's obsession with celebrity culture, consumer addiction, and fascination with excess." The show will premiere Saturday, August 29 from 8 to 10pm (Mike will be attending), and run until October 14, 2009. Like Glorious Excess (Born), Glorious Excess (Dies) will be showing at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles.

Back when Linkin Park was promoting Minutes to Midnight, Mike and Joe sat down with DJ Whoo (G-Unit DJ) on Shade 45 and talked about Britney Spears, Ja Rule, OJ Simpson, and Rick Rubin. When Linkin Park performed at Webster Hall, Mike referenced this interview when talking about Joe having gun shots in his on-stage samplers.

As we posted last week, Xbox Live is giving members a chance to play the Transformers video game on the Xbox Live, as part of their weekly Game with Fame event! If you are an Xbox Live gold member, send a friend request to the gamertag "Mike LinkinPark" and be on Xbox Live at 3:30pm EST/1:30pm PST on Friday, June 26. The Game with Fame session will start at 4:00pm EST/1:00pm PST.

Also, last night, Linkin Park played a short set at the Los Angeles premiere of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The performances of "New Divide" and "What I've Done" will be shown tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Jimmy Kimmel Live is on ABC at 12:05/11:05c.

Linkin Park to Play First Ever Epicenter

Yesterday Linkin Park announced that they are going to be headlining the first ever Epicenter 09 concert at Fairplex in Pomona, CA, on Saturday, August 22nd. This will be only Linkin Park concert in North America this year. Also performing at the all-day event are co-headliners Tool, Wolfmother, Street Sweeper Social Club, Atmosphere, Aesop Rock, Hollywood Undead, Atreyu and Sonny.

Tickets go on sale to the public on Saturday through Ticketmaster and the Fairplex box office. There is no ticket limit. Ticket prices will range from $79.50 (general admission) to $125 (VIP access). Linkin Park Underground members will be able to pre-order tickets starting Tuesday, June 23rd, at 10 PST. LPU members will also have a chance to attend the meet and greet.
